Itinerary
Begin your Jammu and Kashmir family holidays with your arrival at the Jammu Airport/Railway Station. You will be greeted by our local tour representative and taken to Katra via private transfer. After arriving in Katra, check into your hotel and rejuvenate. After freshening up, take the evening to explore at leisure. Enjoy dinner at the hotel and a comfortable overnight stay at your hotel in Katra.
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed on a trek to Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine in the early morning. Travelers can either trek for 12 kilometers, take the Helicopter for the Shrine (advance booking required), or take a pony ride for the trek. After offering prayers at the shrine, return back to Katra late in evening or night. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Katra.
After breakfast in Katra, check out of the hotel and drive to Srinagar. Check into a houseboat in Srinagar and freshen up. In the evening, enjoy a beautiful shikara ride on Dal Lake with your loved ones. Visit nearby floating gardens and take in the majestic views of the Pir Panjal Range. Post breakfast in Srinagar, embark on a two-hour drive to Gulmarg via Tangmarg. Gulmarg has one of the best ski slopes in the world and the highest golf course with 18 holes. Enjoy views of Nanga Parbat from the top of Apharwat Peak in Gulmarg. Optional cable car rides (at additional cost) can also be enjoyed in Gulmarg in the evening. Post breakfast at your hotel in Srinagar, gear up for a trip to the “Valley of Shepherds” today. Pahalgam is famous for pony rides, fishing, rafting, and trekking activities. En route visit saffron fields, and temple ruins at Awantipur, and explore the beautiful countryside. If time permits, take the remainder of the day to explore Aru, Betaab Valley or Chandanwari at your own cost. Visit the banks of the Lidder River to enjoy quiet time in the evening. Return to your hotel to spend the night in Srinagar.
After a delicious breakfast with your family in Srinagar, embark on a three-hour long drive to Sonamarg via Kangan. Discover the beauty of Sindh River Valley and flowery meadows of Sonamarg. Visit Thajiwas Glacier, which is the most popular attraction in Sonamarg. Depending on the weather and time, optional visits to Gadsar and Satsar lakes near Sonamarg can also be arranged via pony ride or trekking guides. Drive back to Srinagar in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
